18-SECTION POLICY
Rally Loom Privacy Policy
A release-specific policy aligned with the app's fixed content, local state, permissions and third-party SDK posture.
COLLECTIONNo personal data requested or transmitted
PERMISSIONSNo Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage permission
SERVICESNo analytics, advertising, payment, social or crash-reporting SDK
LOCALFixed-token preferences only; reset, clear storage or uninstall
SECTION 01
Scope and responsible organisation
This policy applies to the Rally Loom Android application, package nz.org.badmintonwhanganui.rallyloom. Badminton Whanganui Incorporated is identified as the organisation responsible for the app. This policy covers the app itself; third-party websites and independent booking or payment services have their own terms and privacy practices.
SECTION 02
Purpose of the app
Rally Loom is a self-contained badminton field guide for adult players, coaches, teachers, parents or caregivers, volunteers and session hosts. It provides fixed educational prompts about shuttle flight, shared-court movement, session stations, inclusion, hall reset and safer participation. It does not provide live schedules, court availability, bookings, payments, door access or official competition administration.
SECTION 03
Personal data collection
The app does not ask for, collect or transmit a name, email address, phone number, date of birth, identity document, account identifier, precise location, contact list, message, photo, audio recording, health record, payment detail or advertising identifier. It does not contain free-text forms.
SECTION 04
Device permissions
Rally Loom requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, phone, SMS, notification, Bluetooth, nearby-device, storage or advertising permission. The release is designed to operate without network access.
SECTION 05
Local app state
A small amount of non-personal state may be stored on the device, such as selected fixed flight tokens, anonymous rotation positions, completed fixed station prompts and the reduce-motion preference. The Twenty-One Leaves counter is transient and is not retained as a player or match history. No free text or participant identity is stored.
SECTION 06
Accounts and authentication
The app has no registration, sign-in, membership account, password, profile, follower system, chat or public contribution feature. It does not authenticate users against a club, school, venue or national sports system.
SECTION 07
Network access and third-party software
The release contains no networking feature, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, social SDK, crash-reporting SDK, payment SDK or remote configuration service. Source references are displayed as plain text and are not fetched or opened by the app.
SECTION 08
Children and young people
Rally Loom is operated by adults and is not designed for independent use by children. Youth-related material is presented for parents, caregivers, teachers, coaches and other responsible adults who organise or supervise activities. The app does not create youth profiles, enable direct messaging, record attendance or performance, expose a young person's location, or encourage private adult-to-child contact.
SECTION 09
Safeguarding and supervision
The Guardian Boundary and safety material are general prompts for adult-led planning. They do not replace an organisation's safeguarding policy, venue procedure, qualified supervision, emergency response, or the reporting channels of the relevant authority. Adults remain responsible for age-appropriate activities, consent, visibility and safe handover arrangements.
SECTION 10
Health and physical safety scope
The app offers general sport-education and participation prompts only. It does not diagnose injury, prescribe treatment, calculate training load, provide medical advice, certify equipment or determine whether a person is fit to play. Users should stop when something feels unsafe and seek appropriate professional or emergency help when needed.
SECTION 11
Venue and operational boundaries
Court lanes, rotation pegs and landing diagrams are symbolic learning tools, not maps of a specific venue or statements of live availability. Schedules, prices, booking rules, access instructions, lighting controls and emergency arrangements can change and must be confirmed through the current official venue or organiser channel.
SECTION 12
Retention and deletion
Because the app does not collect personal data on a server, there is no server-side personal profile to retrieve or delete. Local non-personal preferences remain until the user resets them in the app, clears the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstalls the app.
SECTION 13
Sharing, sale and advertising
The app does not sell, rent or share personal data. It contains no advertising, behavioural profiling, cross-app tracking, targeted marketing, sponsored placement, donation flow or in-app purchase.
SECTION 14
Security and backup
The app minimises risk by avoiding personal-data collection and network transmission. Android backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for app state. Users remain responsible for the physical security and operating-system protections of their own device.
SECTION 15
User controls and accessibility
Users can reset local selections from within the app and can remove all local state by clearing storage or uninstalling. The interface supports system font scaling, meaningful text labels, high-contrast colours and a reduce-motion option. Content remains available without creating a profile.
SECTION 16
Privacy rights and enquiries
The app is designed not to hold personal data about its users. If a person believes the publisher has nevertheless received personal information outside the app, they may contact the organisation using an official, publisher-controlled channel and request information about access, correction or deletion as applicable.
SECTION 17
Policy changes
This policy is effective from 8 August 2026. If a future release adds data collection, connectivity or a third-party service, the policy and Google Play declarations must be updated before that release is distributed. Material changes should be identified in the app and on the public policy page.
SECTION 18
Privacy contact
Privacy correspondence for Rally Loom may be addressed to: Badminton Whanganui Incorporated, 1130 Brunswick Road, Whanganui 4571, New Zealand. For time-sensitive venue, safeguarding or emergency matters, use the current official organiser, venue or emergency channel rather than this privacy correspondence route.
